I Love to Hate Editing

Hey friends!
It’s me again with all things March!
We are a month out (or less) from meeting our newest little addition to the family.
We are spring cleaning and reorganizing in preparation.
I have grand plans to add a little curb appeal to the front of our house. TBD on how that will go as we prepare for a newborn. I might be a little too ambitious.
And my edits, are FINALLY moving along.
Truly, I have a love-hate relationship with editing. On one hand, editing always makes the story better. On the other hand, the editor doesn’t know the story, characters, or research like I do, so it can be a balancing act to figure out where to fight and where it is wise to change things.
I am reminded during this process that the Lord is never satisfied with our lives looking mediocre. He wants to write a GREAT story. Sometimes, we fight him on the wrong things (or all the things). Unlike typical editors, the Great Author ALWAYS knows what’s best to produce the best heroes and heroines and the best plot line and scenes for our good and his glory.
I’m both ready to finish these edits and excited to see how they improve the story. Stay tuned!
