When Life Throws You Curve Balls

Hi friends!
January was LONG and twisty for us. I know we aren’t alone. I saw a lot of memes floating around social media citing January as the longest year ever. Not gonna lie, it did make me feel better. That’s exactly how I felt!
Enter February, and I turned in a book, started working on edits and home insurance and all the fun things that need to be locked down before baby gets here in T-minus 7 weeks or less, and then I got a big PIVOT…again.
Edits came back, and they were not what I anticipated. There is one silver lining: I trust and love the two women who sent them, but honestly, I’m not sure how to get them done right now. I’ll probably have to pivot some more. Stay tuned on that.
When life throws you edits or curve balls or whatever analogy you want to use, I am constantly reminded that you can trust the One who already knew they were coming. I wish someone could give me the answers and lay out the game plan, but that’s not always how God works. Sometimes we are Indian Jones standing before an invisible bridge and the Lord is asking us to just trust him one step at a time.
Too many analogies? Sorry! I’m going to blame it on my third trimester brain…which is also probably why my edits are so significant. Shocker.
Bottom line. We can trust the One who knows the past, present, and future, even when life doesn’t make sense…or throws us a rough edit.
If this is you right now, know that I am wrestling, too. But I am confident God is good in the midst of what is hard and what we don’t understand.
